Empowerment Programs for Our Communities

Mental health is not a luxury — it is the foundation that holds every other part of a person's life together. Since 2008, Champions World International has provided counseling, peer support, and crisis resources to individuals and families who had no other place to turn.

We serve teens who are being bullied, adults navigating domestic violence, and families managing the residual trauma of poverty and displacement. Our clinicians and trained facilitators work in small groups and one-on-one settings, meeting each person with the privacy and care they deserve.

Research tells us that 1 in 4 teens will face substance abuse influences before the age of 18. We are on the front lines of that reality — not to judge, but to help.

Voice My Fears is one of our most distinctive programs — and one of our most effective. Created in response to the growing epidemic of teen bullying, vaping, and social anxiety, Voice My Fears creates structured, judgment-free spaces for young people to name what they're carrying.

Small groups of five to eight teens meet with skilled facilitators who guide them through exercises designed to help them vocalize concerns, recognize patterns of peer pressure, and build the emotional vocabulary to navigate difficult relationships. These are not lecture sessions — they are honest conversations, led by young people themselves.

Many participants leave Voice My Fears with tools they will use for the rest of their lives. More importantly, they leave knowing that someone heard them.

Opportunity does not always announce itself — sometimes it walks through a door, sees what you are wearing, and decides before you have said a word. Dress for Success removes that barrier entirely.

We provide professional clothing, grooming preparation, and interview coaching to job seekers, particularly women re-entering the workforce and young adults approaching their first professional roles. Participants leave with more than an outfit — they leave with a sense of readiness and the confidence to claim the seat at the table they have earned.

The program runs year-round and is coordinated through our Texas and Louisiana campuses. All clothing is provided at no cost.

Education is the longest-running investment we make in any life. Champions World International connects community members at every stage — from elementary school support to adult vocational certification — with the resources and mentorship they need to move forward.

Our partnerships with local schools and government agencies allow us to support student transitions between grade levels, provide tutoring and academic coaching, and link families to continuing education pathways. On the workforce side, we provide job training, resume development, career coaching, and connections to small business start-up resources for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Families are the unit. When a family is stable, children thrive, adults recover, and communities strengthen. When a family is in crisis, everything downstream suffers. Champions World International provides the wraparound support that keeps households together and helps them move forward.

Our family support services include case management, crisis intervention, parent coaching, domestic violence response, resource navigation, and ongoing check-ins after in-person engagement. We do not hand someone a pamphlet and consider our job done — we stay engaged until the situation is stable.

We also prioritize Domestic Violence Survivors, providing safe housing placements and counseling as an immediate first step toward recovery.

Starting over in a new country — often without language, without a network, and without a map of how anything works — is one of the most difficult experiences a human being can face. Champions World International stands in the gap for refugee families navigating resettlement.

We partner with resettlement agencies to provide language access support, household essentials, healthcare referrals, and ongoing mentorship as families rebuild their lives. We connect adults to job training programs and children to school enrollment support. We also provide safe housing placements for families that arrive without an immediate stable address.

Every newcomer is a neighbor. We treat them that way.
